Professional Education
Matthew LeMaitre, M.D., is fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic bariatric and minimally invasive surgery from Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. Dr. LeMaitre’s training focused on revision bariatric surgery and sleeve gastrectomy, as well as gastric band and bypass procedures. Prior to completing his fellowship training Dr. LeMaitre completed his surgical training at The University of Massachusetts Medical School in Massachusetts, where he held the title of Chief Surgical Resident. Dr. LeMaitre speaks French, Spanish and Russian. He is pleased to join the Meridian Health family as part of the medical staff at Bayshore Community Hospital, and joins Karl Strom, M.D. in the Center for Bariatrics at Bayshore.
