Get answers to our most commonly asked questions about WLSFA National Conference. Please check this guide before contacting us.

Will the resort fee be waived?

Yes, upon check-in the hotel will waive your resort fee.

When will I receive my tickets?

As soon as you purchase your tickets you will be sent an email with your electronic tickets.

Is this conference only open to bariatric patients?

WLSFA believes support people are essential for your long-term success. We encourage you to bring anyone that you want or has been involved in your weight loss surgery journey. Many people that attend our conference bring their spouse, partner, co-worker, friends and family members!

Do I need need to pre-select which sessions I would like to attend?

No, upon registration you will be given an agenda. You can pick and choose which sessions you would like to attend then or go to our online builder before the conference and build your own schedule.

What if I can only attend one day?

There is one registration price and it’s all-inclusive for 3 days.

Is there a fee for parking?

Valet Parking for registered hotel guests is discounted to $10.00 per car per day. On-site self-parking is complimentary for all attendees.

Does the hotel provide a shuttle to and from the airport?

The hotel does not provide shuttles to and from the airport, but there are many transportation options available such as Car Rentals, Uber and Lyft.

I am interested in carpooling, sharing a room, and meeting up with other attendees. How can I do this?

We have a very active Facebook Conference page where attendees discuss carpooling, splitting hotel room costs and meet-ups!

Are there ID requirements to enter the event?

All registered attendees must wear the lanyard and name badge ( access pass) given to you at registration at all times. Persons without an official access pass might not be allowed access to attend sessions and special events.

Is there a minimum age requirement to enter the event?

Yes the event is for adults 18 years or older. If bringing minors to the hotel, please be aware that they are not allowed in the WLSFA event or expo area at any time. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times while at the hotel. The WLSFA does not offer childcare services.

Is there a the refund policy?

There are no refunds for any donations including ticket fees.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes. Please contact us with the name and email address of the person you are transferring your ticket to. Email us at info@wlsfa.org

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

ou do not need a printed ticket. We will have electronic registration available.

Can I update my registration information?

Contact us to update your record if needed. Email info@wlsfa.org

What if the name on the ticket or registration doesn't match the name of the person who attends?

Please update us with any name changes before the event. Send an email to info@wlsfa.org

Is there a dress code?

Here are some suggestions for the conference:

Sessions: Dress for comfort as there will be several sessions offered throughout the day you can attend. The weather in April may be cooler.

Friday Night Meet & Greet: TBA

Saturday Night Show: TBA

The WLSFA wants you to be comfortable and enjoy yourself, please use your own discretion when dressing for events.

What should I bring to the conference?

Here are some ideas:

1. Notebook and Pen to take notes on the sessions you attend.

2. Before and After pictures to share dring the conference.

3. Cash or Debit or Credit to purchase any of the products you like from the vendors during the conference.
